Alexander Sexton is a May, 2026 graduate of Sarah Lawrence College who majored in Urban Studies and had additional focuses in fine art photography and in music. 

He primarily practices film photography, and makes black and white prints in the darkroom. He studied photography under Sophie Barbasch, Samantha Box, and Joel Sternfeld, and he has recently began to shoot in 4x5. 

Alexander spent his Junior academic year abroad at the University of Amsterdam, where he learned planning, design, and urban sustainability practices firsthand in one of the global centers of cycling and urbanism. At Sarah Lawrence he became an expert at writing and research, completing projects involving geospatial analysis, architectural projects utilizing 3D CAD, and extensive urban historical studies of cities such as Paris, France, and New York City.

He is currently a Field Coordinator Intern at the Hutchinson River Restoration Project, a non-profit based in City Island in The Bronx dedicated to the long-term restoration and protection of the Hutchinson River.

Alexander is currently based in Brooklyn, New York.
